Hi everyone. I want to say thanks to all of those who have become a follower and to all of those who stop by for a visit. We only need 11 more followers before we have our giveaway. Maybe I need to put a sneak peek of what the prize will be. Maybe next post. lol You will probably notice a decrease in my posts for a little while. My son Joshua is currently serving in the US Army and is stationed in Hawaii. He and his wife Liz and their two boys, Carson & Aiden will be home for a short while in April. We are coordinating a large multi family gathering so everyone will get a chance to visit with them when they are home.

We are also busy preparing for The Crows Corner open house which is Friday, April 30 11:00-6:00 and Saturday, May 1 10:00-2:00. We hope you will be able to stop by our shop, but I will also list items on our selling blog and online store. I will also have pictures of the garden once all the bulb flowers start to bloom.

For our open house we will have many new items. To just give you some ideas, we will have primitive lighting, keeping room pillows, new dolls, homemade lye soap and soap bags (these bags look really neat displayed in your prim kitchen or bath) pin keeps, samplers and Americana items. I am also busy blanket stitching vintage quilt pieces (with a little help from Denise, thanks bunches). We will also have spring florals and wreaths, cement pieces, wood signs, fused glass pieces, unique pillows, new totes and handbags, handmade jewelry, furniture, some handmade wall cabinets, antiques and garden items.

We are also doing some work in the prim garden next to the shop. We are adding a stone walking path. I am happy to report that the Tansy and Thyme from my friend Anita came back this year. Thanks bunches.



I have some daffodils and tulips getting ready to bloom and I think some crocuses. I saw some yarrow peeking through the ground as well as cilantro, sage, oregano, chives and wild garlic. Many of the bulbs and starts came from a neighbor. Her name was Pearl Kimpel and she loved her garden. Her daughter was kind enough to let us have some of the flower bulbs she was so proud of. These flowers are in her memory.



Here is a few pics of the garden. The wooden gate came from a barn that was built by my great grandfather. The fence itself was made from fallen branches. Hubby did such a great job. He really is a good sport. He and my son in law John even found the pieces to build my clothesline. .

Shop Pictures

Good morning. I have had some inquiries about different items that I might have for sale. I took some random shots of our store for you to see some of the different items that we have. Our spring open house this year is April 30 & May 1. We will continue to make new items for the shop but you will see a lot of new items as it gets closer to our open house. If you see something in the shop that interests you just email me for prices, dimensions, etc. The candles that you see are from Willow Haven Candles. These candles are the best I have ever used. The scents are wonderful and they burn fantastic. No left over wax. I am creating some more samplers, pin keeps, dolls, totes, wool penny rugs, prim bags,wreaths, vintage quilt pieces and surprises. As you can see we have old tin ware plates, granite ware, Easter primitives, wooden totes, vintage cracker tins (many vintage spice tins not shown in pic)and vintage quilt pieces.
Our 20 gallon Western Stoneware crock is in perfect condition. There are no chips, cracks etc. A great addition to your collection.

New Items

Good morning! I hope everyone has had a great weekend. My husband is enjoying himself at Bristol this weekend and I am enjoying creating items for our store. Here are a few of the items I have finished.
The first items are these primitive pin keep ornies. These are made from vintage ticking and are embroidered using a primitive cross stitch. They come with a rusty safety pin. They look great tucked in a cupboard or added to a bowl with other ornies. These sell for $3.00 each

The next item is a "Simplify" heart make do. The heart is made from stained and baked muslin. It is on an old wooden spool. It comes with a variety of pins and an old button. I wrapped some vintage tinsel around the base of the heart and it is approximately 12 inches in height. These sell for $10.00 each.

This item is a cross stitched pin keep. I love anything that has to do with crows so I definitely could not pass up this pattern of "Primitive Betty's". After finishing the cross stitch, it was stained and baked to give it a good grungy look. The back is a black checked homespun that has also been stained. This sells for $5.00. I also have many other little pin keeps which you can see in some older posts or you can see at www.thecrowscorner.com.


The last item for now is this sampler. It measures 5 by 7 inches in a 7 by 9 inch black frame that has been sanded and waxed for that prim look. The sampler is all hand stitched and then stained and baked. The sampler is stitched to another piece of stained material. This sells for $12.00.

Good Morning.

I wanted to let all of you that have been praying for our little guy, that we lost him on Tuesday. I want to thank everyone for their kind words. I haven't felt much like doing anything, but after a few days of prayers its time to pull myself up by my boot straps and get busy. I should have a few projects completed this weekend that I hope you will like. We also have 31 followers, only 19 more to go until our first giveaway. Hello. I just wanted to share a few pics with you of some items that I got finished today. The first item in my primitive pin keeps. I absolutely love these. These are made from vintage ticking and stuffed with sawdust. The small pin keep has rusty pins and an old button. These are selling for $10.00.
I also finished a prim pillow that is stuffed with sawdust. The pillow comes complete with a clothespin doll. This would make a great addition to your prim home. This is selling for $10.00.
Last but not least are my spring chicks.
These are handmade from muslin and are nesting in primitive green grass and springs of sweet annie. This is all nestled in a vintage jello mold. These would look great year round in your prim home. They are selling for $5.00.

Lucy McPhee Doll

Just wanted to add a few pics. We have Lucy McPhee who is selling for $18.00 and is approx 23 inches from head to toe. She carries her flowers and her favorite crow. We also have Prim bunny which is about 18 inches in length, has small rusty bells for eyes and a tag. Prim Bunny sells for $8.00.

Primitive Spoon Holder

This primitive spoon holder will look great in your kitchen. This wood has some blue on it, the other that it available has no color.It is hung with rusty wire These are selling for $11.00 for the set. .

Prim Hanging Sampler

Friday Morning

Good morning everyone. I wanted to show you a crate that I put in the shop this morning. It is an old "Wayne" beverage crate. It has a small shelf inside. I added a curtain made from a small checked homespun that was coffee stained. I think this would look great anywhere. I added a small light. Any small vintage items would look great in this. I am selling this for $18.00. I am also finishing up some cross stitch ornies. Some of the deigns are mine or the are from Stacy Nash or Country Rustic Primitives line of patterns. If you get a chance, check them out. These are done with a gorgeous spring blue thread and then coffee stained and baked. Some of the backs are made from vintage quilt pieces. These will be selling for $5.00-$7.00.
I have also put more of my blackened beeswax candles in the shop these are selling for $7.00. The shop closes at 6:00 tonight, so hopefully will be able to add a few more items this weekend. Have a great day, Lynda

Tuesday

Our little guy. His name is Fritz and he suffers from Addison's disease. We could use a few prayers to either help him heal or give us the strength and courage to decide what is best for him. We really love this little guy. It was just a month or so ago that we lost his sister. I think he really misses his sister. Hopefully time will help us all. I took this picture of him a few days ago. He looks so goofy! I will try to have a few more posts later this week.

Good morning everyone. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I received the paper egg crates that I ordered. If you haven't followed my blog, go to tarnished and tattered to see her Easter egg baskets. I can't wait to make these for my girls. Can't do it this weekend, because the youngest is home from college on Spring break. She is such a joy to be around. Well, time for some new items. I have this vintage hand quilted piece hanging over an old barn board. It is hung by rusty wire. I am selling the entire set for $15.00. I also made these prim pears. I love the look of them in an old bowl. They are made from muslin, heavily stained and then sanded, each pear has a hole in it with a piece of homespun peeking thru. They have a twig stem and over dyed wool leaf. I added a rusty safety pin to each one. I will be selling these for $3.00 each.



Harriet went to a good home over the weekend, so did Chester. Thanks to those who stopped by the shop. Well back to creating. Hope the rest of your Sunday is fantastic. Lynda

I finally finished Harriet, here she is. I absolutely love this prim gal. I think I should keep her. lol She will be selling for $15.00. She is made from stained and baked muslin. Good Morning!!!! I finished up a few projects that I would like to share with you. After I made Hannah Hare, I like her egg so much that I thought they would look cute in a bowl so I made some for the shop We sold a large piece of furniture so I have been busy moving things around and bringing in some new antiques and primitives. I also finished a few of my Simple Goods hand towels. They are usually made form homespun, old ticking or feed sacks when I can find them. They have a hand embroidered pocket with a sprig of sweet annie. They look good in your kitchen or bath.. I should have Harriet done later this afternoon, so check back. I am selling the eggs for $3.00 each and the Simple Goods hand towels for $7.00 each. I figured a way to put a link to our web store, but I am having trouble getting an email link to work.
